Preheat oven according to the brownie mix package directions. Line an 8×8 pan with parchment paper or lightly grease.
Add drained black beans and water to a blender or food processor. Blend until completely smooth, adding up to ½ cup water if needed. Add in the brownie mix and blend until smooth.
Spread batter evenly into prepared pan.
Bake according to box directions, checking 5-10 minutes early to avoid overbaking.
Let cool completely before slicing for best texture.
